CHARLEMONT FORUM: Immersions, with Ted Conover

Join us JUNE 20th at 7pm as we host Ted Conover who has reported on subcultures by placing himself inside them–blending journalism with ethnography. Conover will tell us about the arc of these immersive experiences, from riding rails with tramps as an undergraduate (Rolling Nowhere) to working as a corrections officer Newjack: Guarding Sing Sing to his latest, Cheap Land Colorado: Off-Gridders at America’s Edge.

And, since weather has been running hot, let us add, the CFC sanctuary is a lovely air-conditioned space!
