What do Vermicast and recently incarcerated individuals seeking good jobs have in common? Come and find out Sunday, April 12, right after the church service. Join us in welcoming Revan Schendler, one of the founders of the worker-owned Compost Cooperative. She will tell us about how food “waste” becomes vermicast for our gardens at the hands of recently incarcerated individuals who are earning living wages at a worker owned company.
Gardening season is coming, believe it or not, and Missions and Outreach will have available 5-pound containers of vermicast from the Cooperative for $15 a container, while the supply lasts.
