Deacons

Our Diaconate is the communication hub and forms the governing body of the church, with the minister serving as a non-voting member.

There is one deacon from each ministry and four deacons in an serving at-large capacity. Deacons serve a staggered three year term.

Worship and Music

The Worship and Music Ministry supports the worship service and organizes the exceptional choir. Worship & Music coordinates special music for services when the choir is off for the summer and special services throughout the church year.

The Rose Dixwell Music Program is connected to our church through this ministry.

Buildings and Grounds

The Buildings & Grounds Ministry, affectionately know as B&G, cares for our physical plant. They maintain the church building, scheduling repairs and work-bees throughout the year.

The gardens, signage, and parking lot are also maintained by B&G.

Spiritual Life

The Spiritual Life Ministry develops ongoing Christian education and spiritual growth opportunities for the congregation,

Spirit-Led Kids, an educational offering for children, is led by this ministry.

Mission and Outreach

The Mission and Outreach Ministry, or M&O, raises funds during the annual Stewardship appeal and determines the disbursement these gifts to organizations locally, nationally, and worldwide to alleviate suffering and promote peace.

This Ministry organizes the church participation in the annual Franklin County CROP Walk and connects the Good Neighbors Food Pantry to the church structure.

Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care Ministry cares for the congregation and the minister in ways large and small. This group organizes special programming and our fellowship coffee hour following the service.

This team also organizes the congregation around important life moments such as baptisms and funerals.

Good Neighbors

Good Neighbors Food Pantry continues to serve our community with food distribution from 4 to 5:30 on the third Tuesday each month at Charlemont Federated Church.
