Worship at the Charlemont Federated Church
All Are Welcome
At our 9:30 AM Sunday service, we draw from many traditions of faith and allow what we call, “theological elbow room,” allowing God’s word to unfold in ever-new and changing ways through scripture, prayer, music, preaching and our community with one another. Our doors are open to the larger community and the world. You are invited to bring your own spiritual gifts to our faith community. Share the journey with us.
Sunday Message
Rev. Dr. Janet Adair Hansen serves as Interim Minister, preaching three Sundays per month.
Past sermons are available in our Sermon Archive.
Spirit-Led Kids
Twice a month is time for children to learn about spirit and worship through fun activities and age-appropriate learning. Spirit Led Kids meets every other week and two teachers support students in crafts and program materials. Children are invited to leave the service before the sermon.
Communion Sunday
On the first Sunday of the month, the congregation shares Communion. The celebration is open to all who seek to follow Christ, regardless of baptism or denomination.
Fellowship
Summers are extra casual, although the CFC is fairly informal year round. Join us as you are able. Coffee Hour follows worship and we invite you to join us for conversation with snacks.
As we change seasons special programs and opportunities to gather often include larger meals with the community. We love feeding people and we hope you’ll be able to join us.
Have Questions?
If you have questions, just leave a message on the church answering machine (413) 339-4294.
Charlemont Federated Church is of this world and in this world; celebrating life and fully engaged in responding to both joys and challenges and supporting spiritual and physical needs of the hill towns and beyond.
