Good Neighbors Food Pantry
Good Neighbors Food Pantry is a community service affiliated with the Charlemont Federated Church. All are welcome!
Food Distribution
Good Neighbors Food Pantry has served our community since 1984. Food is distributed from 4 to 5:30 on the third Tuesday each month at Charlemont Federated Church, and by emergency food distributions when needed.
The food distribution is held in the social hall of the church at 175 Main Street (Route 2), Charlemont. (Ramp access is in the back.) If you’d like to find out more about volunteering or being a part of the pantry, please call the church office at 413-339-4294.
Response to Disruption of SNAP Benefits
While SNAP benefits have been restored for now, Good Neighbors Food Pantry remains vigilant and prepared to assist families in our community who are food insecure. We remain ready to respond as the need arises.
Community Support for the Pantry’s Efforts
The Good Neighbors Pantry cannot do what we do without strong support from our community. Support comes in the form of dedicated volunteers and donations.
Cash/check donations are often more useful to us because Good Neighbors can get much more food per dollar than anyone can by shopping on their own.
- Cash or checks should be made out to “Good Neighbors” and mailed to Charlemont Federated Church, P.O. Box 248, Charlemont, MA 01339.
- Volunteering to help move food around at distributions or other times is also very useful. Call Sheila or Budge Litchfield (337-4957) for more information about helping out.
Thank you for being a good neighbor!
